The National Weather Service issued a winter weather bulletin on Feb. 9 that could mean significant snowfall for the Harvey County Area.
According to the bulletin, two snow-producing weather events were expected for Feb. 10 through Feb. 12, with the second storm expected between Feb. 11 and 12.
The packet gave an 83 percent chance of more than four inches of snow for the area during the time period.
Newton USD 373 used multiple snow days in January when a snow and ice storm struck. Currently the district has a planned early release day for Feb. 12.
