The Harvey County Sheriff’s Office has used asset forfeiture - namely cars used in alleged drug crimes - to pay off a $50,000 bill for a tactical vehicle purchased several years ago. Currently the office has a 2007 Chevy Camaro (left) for sale on the Purple Wave internet auction web site, while the Newton Police Department has three cars including a – a 2007 Cadillac DTS , 2011 Dodge Avenger and a 2007 Chevrolet Impala SS.
