Newton Murals and Arts Project will celebrate the completion of a mural project with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. Sept. 26 at 210 W. Fifth.

Newton Murals has installed six new murals over the east windows at the Fraternal Order of Eagles building at 210 W 5th. The murals were in response to a Call for Art put out by Newton Murals requesting large birds and flowers. All local artists were selected. Artists are Kacie Schmidt, Catia Sawatsky, Andrea Braker, Sean Heaton, and Jennifer Weigel. The murals are painted on 1/2” MDO plywood with Nova Paint.
