Newton Public Library hosted “Coffee & Coloring” at Norm’s June 1 to kick off the adult summer reading program. The evening featured Newton Mid-Kansas Symphony Orchestra flutists Kenna Graber (left) and Kristin Shaffer (right). The adult reading program will launch June 5, with participants asked to read 20 minutes six time a week to be entered for prizes. The library also created a “book bingo” sheet for the program.
