A windstorm collapsed a portion of the outer wall at the main entrance of Lindley Hall last year. Inspections by insurance companies and later by architectural firms found extensive water damage to the walls of the building and needed repairs of more than $1.5 million to the outer walls - in addition to interior needs for the building. The gymnasium at Santa Fe 5/6 Center has remained closed, and the sidewalk fenced off, as the school district attempts to make a decision on the future of the building. [KANSAN FILE]
