HALSTEAD — The Halstead High School boys’ basketball team will be looking to get back in the swing of things with three starters back.Adam Glendenning begins his first full season as head coach for the Dragons.
BRAINERD — The Remington High School girls’ basketball team had a standout year last season and with four starters and three other letterwinner back, look to have continued success this year.Ricky Snyder returns for his second season as the Broncos’ coach, assisted by Allison O’Brien.He has a career record of 118-141.Remington was 17-6 last season, 8-1 in the Heart of America League.
This is the fifth season for girls’ wrestling as a championship sport in the state of Kansas and the fourth year the Railers have had a formal girls’ team.Like the sport in the state itself, the Railers will be looking more growth and improvement on the mat.Tommy Edgmon, in his 10th season overall, leads the Railer girls.
