The Bethel College men’s basketball team won its 12th straight game and moved into sole possession of second place in the KCAC, stopping McPherson College 78-62 Monday night at Thresher Gym. Bethel moved into sole possession of second place in the conference when Southwestern fell to Kansas Wesleyan 81-69 in Salina.
The Bethel College women’s basketball team fell to McPherson College 65- 54 Monday in KCAC play at Thresher Gym. Bethel trailed 16-10 after the first quarter, but tied the game 23-23 at the half.

BURRTON — Round one of a possible three-round fight took place Saturday in the finals of the Burrton Invitational boys’ basketball tournament when the Inman Teutons edged the Berean Academy Warriors 40-31.
HILLSBORO — A slow start and slow finish handed the Hesston Swather boys a 39-29 loss to Hillsboro in the finals of the Hillsboro Trojan Classic. Hesston trailed 15-8 after the first quarter.
