ANDOVER – The Newton High School girls’ swimming team’s scoring was consistent to what it had been doing most of the season, but there were few time drops among the Railers’ top swimmers Tuesday at the Newton Invitational I.
Hesston golfers compete twice LAWRENCE — The Hesston High School golf team competed in two tournaments in two days, taking sixth out of 12 teams Monday at the Andover Central Invitational at the Terradyne Country Club in Andover and third Tuesday at the seven-team Bishop Seabury Academy Invitational at the Jayhawk Club in Lawrence. INDEPENDENCE — The Newton High School boys’ track team claimed a first-place finish, while the Railer girls took second Tuesday at the Montgomery County Classic in Independence. The Railer boys nipped Chanute for the team title 119-116, while Arkansas City was third at 92.
