The Newton American Legion Post 2 Knights baseball team received a bunch of walks in the first game and gave up a bunch of walks in the second game, leading to a split against the Salina Hawks Tuesday night at Klein-Scott Field.

Josh Gliege of Wichita shot a six-under par 210 to win the Open Division of The Railer: The Kansas Men’s Amateur Stroke-Play Championships, which ended Sunday at Sand Creek Station. A former player at both Texas A&M and Boise State, Gliege is the assistant men’s golf coach at Wichita State.
