Newton Kansan WICHITA — For the ninth time overall and third time in a row, the Santa Barbara Foresters claimed the title of the National Baseball Congress World Series. The Foresters stopped Hays Larks 12-1, the sixth time Hays has finished as runner-up in the 88 years of the tournament.
