Bethel to host Southwestern in game with national implications
ESPN Game Day may be in Lawrence this weekend, but the eyes of NAIA football will be on Thresher Stadium at 6 p.m. Saturday in North Newton when 5-0 Bethel takes on 5-0 Southwestern in KCAC play.
Railer golfers second at league
The Kansan Staff WICHITA — The Newton High School girls’ golf team claimed three medalists and a second-place team finish at the Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail League Division I Championships Tuesday at the Auburn Hills Golf Course in Wichita. Maize won at 356, followed by Newton at 387, Salina South at 427-115, Maize South at 427-117, Campus at 436, Derby at 457 and Hutchinson at 465.
