BEATRICE, Neb. — The Hesston College men’s basketball team dropped an 82-71 decision to Southeast (Neb.) Community College Saturday in Beatrice.
SALINA — Plagued by 31 percent shooting, the Bethel College men’s basketball team fell to 24th-ranked Kansas Wesleyan 77-58 Saturday in KCAC play in Salina. Bethel trailed by 10 in the first six minutes of play, but was able to get up by as many as eight points.
SALINA — The Bethel College women’s basketball team gave up a 24-5 first quarter en route to an 84-63 loss to Kansas Wesleyan Saturday in KCAC play in Salina. Bethel trailed 41-17 at the half and 67-39 after three quarters before winning the fourth quarter.
HESSTON — The Hesston Swather girls’ basketball team fell just short of its goal of a return to the state tournament, but with five starters returning, coach Matt Richardson has high hopes for the squad. Richardson begins his 18th season with the Swathers.
