The Kansan Staff HESSTON — The Hesston College men’s basketball team used a 49-13 first half to get past the Friends University junior varsity 80-50 Tuesday at Yost Center. Hesston was 31 of 63 from the field, 10 of 25 from 3-point range.
The Kansan Staff The Bethel College men’s basketball team fell to seventh-ranked (NAIA) Oklahoma Wesleyan 63-54 Monday night in KCAC play at Thresher Gym. The game was tied 30-30 at the half.
SEDGWICK – The Sedgwick Cardinal boys’ basketball team will be heavily leaning on some new faces when the 2022-23 season begins. Darren Crumrine begins his 29th season coaching the Cardinals.

After a turnover leading to a touchdown early in the third quarter, it was time for Wichita County quarterback Erhik Hermosillo-Lopez to take control of things, rushing for 242 yards on 29 carries with five touchdowns to lead his team to a 54-36 win over Little River Saturday in the Eight-Man Division I championships at Fischer Field. He also hit three of four passes for 37 yards and two touchdowns.
