Momentum favors Railers entering TOC
The Newton High School wrestling teams have a little bit of momentum heading into this week’s Newton Invitational Tournament of Champions. The second girls’ edition of the tournament begins at 9 a.m.
Railer girls fall to sixth-ranked Derby
DERBY — The Newton High School girls’ basketball team did some things effectively against the sixth-ranked (KBCA, Class 6A) Derby Panthers Tuesday, but had no answers against 6-foot-3 Addy Brown in a 55-28 Railer loss. Brown scored 22 points for Derby, 7-1 overall and 4-0 in the AV-CTL I.
