The Bethel College men’s basketball team claimed a split of recent KCAC games at home. Saturday, Bethel fell to 17th-ranked Kansas Wesleyan 79-62.

EUREKA — The Newton High School girls’ wrestling team finished fourth Saturday at the 23-team Eureka Invitational. Columbus topped the field with 165 points, followed by Eureka with 126, Burlington with 104, Newton with 89 and Coffeyville with 81.

After working their way back in the KCAC playoff picture, the Bethel College women’s basketball team dropped a pair of home games in a three-day span. Bethel fell to Kansas Wesleyan 70-62 Saturday and Avila 60-53 Monday.
