PARK CITY — Newton High School has a wrestling tradition that goes back more than 80 years. In just a few years, the Railer girls have started to add to that long list of champions and medalists.

Halstead, Remington tie for 63rd SALINA — A pair of area teams, Halstead and Remington, scored their first-ever team points in state competition following the Class 4-3-21A State Girls’ Championships at the Tony’s Pizza Events Center. Halstead had two scorers out of its three wrestlers.
The post-season bubble for the Bethel College men’s basketball team is still pretty thin, but got a little thicker after a 95-76 win over York College Wednesday in the quarterfinals of the KCAC post-season tournament at Thresher Gym. Bethel is 19-9, winning seven straight.
