PARK CITY — The Newton High School boys wrestling team has a lot of accomplishments in its long history. A four-time state champion can now be added to that list as senior Nick Treaster did that Saturday at the Class 5A state championships at Hartman Arena.
The Bethel College men’s basketball team shot 59 percent from the field, 50 percent from 3-point range, to top Sterling College 90-73 Saturday afternoon at Thresher Gym. Bethel, 20-9, takes on Southwestern at 6 p.m.
HAYS – The Halstead Dragons claimed two medals out of four competing at the Class 3-2-1A State Championships Friday at the Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays. Senior Skyler Geer at 150 pounds and sophomore Clayton Considine each reached the consolation finals, where they posted wins to place third.
