The Newton High School boys’ track team won the Joe Vann Invitational Friday in Winfield, while the Railer girls were third in the nine-team field. The Railer boys scored 132 points, followed by Buhler at 106 and Derby at 100.
The Bethel College tennis teams suffered their first conference losses of the season, falling to Southwestern Saturday at the Ward Tennis Center. The Bethel women were edged 4-3.
