Indian Hills wins third title at Sand Creek Station
Before this week, the National Junior College Athletic Association has held the Division I men’s golf championships at Sand Creek Station in 2012 and 2015. Indian Hills Community College of Ottumwa, Iowa, won both times.

Larks reach flag finals ATLANTA — Before this school year, Hesston College hasn’t had much of a tradition of college football of any kind. The Larks changed that this year, reaching the championship game of the National Junior College Athletic Association Invitational Championships Thursday through Saturday.
Sedgwick holds off Remington for regional baseball title
MOUNDRIDGE — The Sedgwick Cardinal baseball team is returning to the Class 2-1A state tournament for the second time in three years after topping Heart of America League rival Remington 6-2 Wednesday in the regional finals in Moundridge. In the semifinal games, Sedgwick downed Bluestem 12-2 in five innings on the 10-run rule and Remington topped Inman 4-2.

Hesston freshman claims two state medals
TOPEKA – Hesston High School freshman Angela Ewert claimed a pair of medals Saturday at the Class 5-4-32-1A state championships at the Capitol Federal Natatorium at the Hummer Sports Park in Topeka. Ewert placed seventh in the 200yard freestyle in 2:02.78.
