When the Kansas Six-Man Football All-Star Game returned to Bethel College’s Thresher Stadium Saturday afternoon, it came after a season of expansion and change for the sport in the state. Last fall was the first season the sport was a championship sport under the Kansas State High School Activities Association.

KINGMAN — Because of the weather, the participation of the Newton Sluggin’ Rebels in the Jayhawk League Pre-Season Jamboree was limited to a single game against the Derby Twins Saturday at Riverside Park in Kingman. Newton won a pitcher’s duel 2-0.
