A powerful god

There is a god here in the US more powerful than the Christian God, the Jewish God, the Muslim God, the Native American God; more powerful than any god that came before it. With this god at his side the most insignificant of humans becomes a religious avenger, reeking death upon the perceived unworthy. This god is powerful, pervasive, omnipotent. It has seized our land, our lives, our very souls. And, we fall to our knees in humble fear and worship the Gun God.

Legacy of the Kansas Constitution

Our Kansas Constitution was written in 1859, as a prelude to the Civil War. The controversy of being a free or slave state was on everyone’s mind. The framers of the Kansas Constitution most likely meant what our Kansas Supreme Court meant it to be. Why our current Legislature seems to think that unelected officials should not have a say in our laws but accept their national decisions is hypocrisy.
