MILLIE ROSE HEIN,

Millie Rose Hein, 78, of Newton, Kansas, went home to the Lord on April 2, 2023, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 26, 1944, in Lawrence, Kansas, she was the daughter of Lewis and Dorothy Higgins, and sister to Sonny Higgins, all of whom preceded her in death.

DR. MARK CLAASSEN

Dr. Mark Claassen, aged 83, passed away on March 22, 2023, at his home in Roanoke, Texas. Mr. Claassen was born on December 10, 1939, in Beatrice, Nebraska to Menno and Sara Claassen. He is survived by his wife, Lillian, and children, Lorraine, Brian and Steven, and his sisters, Sara and Eleanor. Mark dedicated his life to the goal of feeding the hungry, both through his service work in South America, and also through his position as Professor of Agronomy and Agronomist in Charge of the Cornbelt Experiment Field in northeast Kansas, and later at the Harvey County Experiment Field in Hesston, KS. His greatest joys came from time with his beloved wife, children, and grandchildren, and from seeing them know to know, love, and serve God.
