Phyllis J. (Pray) Jackson

Jackson, Phyllis J (Pray) 89 of rural Sedgwick County passed away December 19, 2021. She was born on October 21, 1932, to Randall and Marie Pray and grew up on a farm in Butler County. She met her husband Pat Jackson at a skating party when they were teenagers. They were married on April 16, 1951. They moved to the farm a few years later where she resided until her passing. Phyllis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time and playing games with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Some of her favorite things included tending to her flowers and watching the deer and birds that visited her home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Pat Jackson. Her sister Betty Fulk, and one Grandson, John Bara. She is survived by her children, Patricia Jackson of Sewell, NJ, Steve Jackson (Kate) of Wichita, Beth Rush (Ed) of Abilene, TX, Mary Dingwall (Kenny) of Wichita, and Chris Brunner (Trent) of Newton, 10 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. A private funeral for the family was held on December 23rd at Petersen Family Funeral Home. A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S.
