MILDRED (MILLIE) JEAN BRENNER FRIESEN

Mildred (Millie) Jean Brenner Friesen was born on the family farm outside of Woodbine, KS on June 15, 1925 to William and Lillian Tiemann Brenner. Millie passed peacefully into the presence of her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, at the age of 97 in the early morning hours of Thursday, January 26, 2023. Millie’s Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Parkview MB Church in Hillsboro, KS at 11:00 am, following a graveside service at 10:00 am at Marion Cemetery.

RONALD DUANE CONNER

Former Kansas resident Ronald Duane Conner died on January 28th, 2023 from several complications due to old age, in San Diego, CA, his heart home of 33 years and in honor of his final wishes. Ron was born in Newton, KS on February 21st, 1933 to Bradshaw and Clara Selma Conner.

DENNIS R. BRADSHAW

Dennis R. Bradshaw 70 died February 13, 2023, at his Newton residence. He was born January 31, 1953, in Kinston, North Carolina to Robert and Daisy (Warlick) Bradshaw. On June 10, 1975, he married Nancy Murphy at Las Vegas, Nevada and she survives of the home. Dennis was a longtime member of the Newton Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie 2516. In spite of losing his eyesight to macular degeneration at a young age Dennis had a positive attitude and had many joys in life including watching television, especially Gunsmoke. He was also a sports fan and followed the Kansas City Chiefs, North Carolina Tarheels and KU. He was a gentle soul and held a special spot in his heart for animals. Dennis was known for sharing a fun joke and will be remembered for the many childhood stories he shared. His greatest joy in life was being a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was very proud of his families achievements and following their activities.

Elma Ruth Harms, 94, died February 9, 2023, at Kidron Bethel Healthcare in North Newton, Kansas. She was born September 12, 1928 in Walton, Kansas to Theodore and Anna (Voth) Regier.

Clayton James Sadowski, 94, of Newton, Kansas passed away on February 12, 2023, surrounded by his wife and daughters. He was predeceased by his son, Gregory, his parents Henry and Katherine, his brothers, Gerald, Richard, Theodore, and his sister Rita.

GLENN DEAN STUCKY

Glenn Dean Stucky, 71, of Galva, Kansas, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. He was born September 10, 1951 in Goessel, Kansas, the son of Marion J. and Welma V. (Siemens) Stucky. He graduated from Moundridge High School with the class of 1969, and later graduated from Kansas State University where he received his Bachelor’s of Science in Vocational Agriculture. Glenn was a grain and livestock farmer, growing wheat and soybeans, and raising cattle. He was a member of the First Mennonite Church of Christian. Glenn was quite the metal worker. He loved crafting metal windmills and gifting them to family. He enjoyed watching sports and looked forward to March Madness, where he would often watch with a Dr. Pepper in hand. Above all, Glenn loved spending time with his two grandsons. Glenn was united in marriage to Patricia Lynn Clark on July 31, 1976 at Eden Mennonite Church, Moundridge.

LELAND EARL HEIDEBRECHT

Leland’s life began on October 14, 1931, in Goessel. He is the son of Art and Linda (Buller) Heidebrecht. Leland passed away on Saturday February 4, 2023.
