An era of Harvey County government came to an end Sept.

For John Van Meter it has been about three months since he asked the Newton City Commission questions about the old South Dillon’s building at 320 North Main.

On a night with a light agenda for the Newton USD 373 Board of Education, the meeting lasted less than 30 minutes from start to finish, the board started fleshing out some details of a big meeting coming up in October.
