TOPEKA - Governor Laura Kelly recently announced the call for nominations for the 2022 Governor’s Exporter of the Year Award. The Governor’s Exporter of the Year Award is the highest honor the Governor of Kansas awards to exporting businesses.
TOPEKA – At today's annual Kansas Corporation Commission Organizational Meeting, Commissioner Dwight D. Keen was elected to serve as Chair of the three-member Commission. Keen was appointed to the KCC by Governor Jeff Colyer on March 29, 2018.

The Supreme Court on Thursday blocked a key Biden administration COVID-19 initiative — putting a stop, for now, to a rule requiring businesses with more than 100 workers to either mandate that employees be vaccinated against covid or wear masks and undergo weekly testing. The rule, which covers an estimated 80 million workers, took effect earlier this week.

Pope baptizes 16 babies in Sistine Chapel after year’s break VATICAN CITY – Pope Francis baptized 16 babies in the splendor of the Sistine Chapel on Sunday, resuming a decades-old Vatican tradition which had been interrupted last year by the pandemic. Francis told the parents of the nine girls and seven boys whom he formally ushered into the Catholic church through baptism that their duty was to “preserve the Christian identity” of their children.
“LaSada.” That is said to be a Native American term for “place of peace.” It is also the name of a beautiful hunting lodge, shooting range and event venue located in rural Kansas. Ethan and Morgan Jones are the owners of LaSada Lodge near Russell.
