City of Newton staff are coming together to support long-time co-worker Mike Headings, who was diagnosed earlier this year with a rare form of leukemia known as T-cell prolymphocytic leukemia, or TPLL. The only cure is a stem cell transplant.

One hundred ninety-six Bethel College students had spring 2025 grades that earned academic distinction.
Bethel College honored Becky Bartell, Hesston, assistant professor of nursing and director of the Department of Nursing, for teaching excellence at the 132nd commencement on May 18.
