Staff at Greenwood and Restlawn cemeteries will begin their annual post-Memorial Day cleanup on June 13. Any temporary decorations left on gravesites will be discarded. If you have any decorations you would like to keep, please remove them by June 12. This does not include flowers in permanent vases.

In the garden: Most lawns are over watered

Owning a lawn is more than just watering and mowing. Lawn and garden watering represents about half of outdoor residential water use. Much of the water applied to lawns is wasted due to overwatering, leaks, evaporation, and wind. It is possible to maintain a lawn of the same quality with less than half as much water through efficient watering and lawn management.

Half a million people in less than a dozen states have lost Medicaid coverage since April

More than 500,000 people across 11 states have lost their Medicaid coverage since the unwinding of a policy that allowed people to stay in the program throughout the pandemic. The data, reported by the states and tracked by health policy researcher KFF, shows that of the five states providing data on people who lost Medicaid coverage for procedural reasons rather than not meeting eligibility requirements, Indiana and Arkansas have the largest share.
