All are welcome to join the 14th annual Mennonite Central Committee Comforter Blitz on March 7,8,and 9 at Journey Mennonite Church at the Yoder Campus, one mile north of Yoder, Kansas. Blitz times are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 7 and 8, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 9.

I can believe how fast February has flown by for me! Spring is just about here so that means the Harvey County Home and Garden Show is upon us! This year we are going to be at the Dyck Arboretum of the Plains in Hesston this weekend. The show includes exhibitors, ed ucational garden seminars, door prizes and more. MANHATTAN, Kan. — When you hear a friend mention grilling up a nice, juicy steak, does a T-bone come to mind? For many who enjoy eating beef that is the visual image of a high-quality steak, said Kansas State University meat scientist and graduate student Kaylee Farmer.
No matter how we try, it’s impossible to avoid it altogether. Death is not naturally a pleasant part of life, and we avoid it at all costs.
1 1/2 pound hamburger 1/3 cup chopped onion 1 can cream of mushroom soup* 2 quart cooked and shredded potatoes 8 ounces sour cream 1 cup Ranch dressing* 8 ounces Mozzarella cheese 1/2 pound bacon, fried and crumbled Fry and drain hamburger and onions then add 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Mix with remaining ingredients except bacon and cheese.
Perhaps this has happened to you: Your recent cough kept you up for another night, so you went to the doctor. The nurse took your vitals, the doctor asked you some questions, listened to your lungs, maybe looked at your ears and your throat, and recommended rest, fluids, over the counter treatments, and time. It all seemed fine until you got home and realized the doctor did not “do anything” for you.
