The first two properties to enter the Newton Land Bank were given to the land bank on Nov. 8 - tow of three properties previously owned by the City of Newton. “We thought this would be a good exercise for the land bank to bring the first properties in where the city owns the properties and nobody gets hurt in the transfer,” said Zach McHatton, Community Development Director for the city of Newton. “... These three properties will be good for infill development.”
Dear Doctors: What does it mean when something is a “complete protein”? A friend said that when I count beans or grains as a protein, it’s not the same nutritional value as meat or cheese. Are there really different kinds of protein? Is he right that it matters which kind of protein you eat?
Dear Doctors: At my last checkup, it turned out my body fat percentage has gone up quite a bit. I was surprised because I haven’t gained weight. I’m a 66-year-old woman, I walk at least a mile every day and I play tennis. My doctor says I should start lifting weights, too. Can’t I just do longer walks?
