KBV host car show, Schowalter show coming this weekend
Kidron Bethel Village of North Newton hosted a car show June 7, the first of back-to-back car shows at Bluestem Communities facilities in Harvey County.A number of vintage or antique vehicles were on display for both Kidron residents and members of the community.Kidron is home to more than 340 residents living in health care, assisted living and independent living neighborhoods.For a full photo gallery of the car show, visit thekansan.comThis weekend Schowalter Villa of Hesston will host a Father’s Day Car show for residents and their families from 9 a.m.

NMKSO summer chamber concert this weekend
It’s a tradition now 30 years old, the Newton Mid-Kansas Symphony Orchestra offering up a summer chamber music series.The Summer Chamber Music series originated in 1994 as the Harvey Music Festival, a collaboration developed by James Jones and former NMKSO manager Don Kehrberg.The first concerts of classical and parlor music were held in the Historic Warkentin House.
