Fire damages local church

With wind chills of -13 degrees on Sunday morning, Newton Fire/EMS crews were fighting a fire in the 200 block of East 11th Street — keeping a fire contained in a small church. There was no one in the building when Fire/EMS arrived, and no one was injured during the fire.
