Hello my name is Kim Bergman and I am a survivor of child sexual abuse. SCR 1624 was introduced on March 28, 2022 by KS Senator Tom Holland. SCR 1624 would amend the constitution of the state of Kansas to require that certain individuals, including members of the clergy, be mandated reporters of child abuse and neglect. Senator Holland, along with abuse survivors and family, will be holding a press conference on Thursday March 31st at 1:00 PM at the Kansas State Capitol Building in Topeka, KS in support of SCR 1624.

“Oh, my legs burn,” might sound like reason of concern when coming from an 11-year-old. But not this week, nor this time.

You just had to look at the timestamps on stories from the Legislature last week to see something was amiss. One posted at 1:34 a.m.
