SOFTBALL Moundridge 9, Bennington 5 Moundridge 15, Bennington 0 MOUNDRIDGE — The Moundridge Wildcat softball team won despite being held hitless and won a no-hitter Friday against Bennington in HOAL play at Grasshopper Field in Moundridge. Moundridge won 9-5 and 15-0.

Railer baseball team holds off Heights

PARK CITY — The Newton High School baseball team held off Wichita Heights 7-5 Friday in non-league play at Heights. The Railers led 6-1 after four innings and held off the Falcons the rest of the way.

Nebraska-Kearney wins MIAA women’s title

The University of Nebraska-Kearney women’s golf team claimed the title of the Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championships held Thursday through Saturday at Sand Creek Station. The Lopers posted the low team rounds of 304 and 310 for the first two days of competition.
