WINFIELD — The Bethel College men’s track team finished eighth and the women finished ninth Thursday and Friday at the KCAC Championships at Jantz Stadium in Winfield. Saint Mary won both the men’s and women’s team titles over Friends — 215-118.5 for the men and 228-154 for the win.

When Apple-A-Day preschool opened 30 years ago it was unique - one of the first preschools of its kind. It has kept ahold of that unique identity, even if others have come along to create something similar “What makes us unique is our loation, in a retirment home facility,” said Renee Hamm, director of the preschool for the past 25 years.
The Newton High School girls’ swimming team claimed a new state qualifying time and a couple of wins Thursday at the Newton Invitational II at the NHS pool. It was the first home meet for the Railer girls since last year due to malfunctions at the NHS pool.
