ANDOVER — The Newton American Legion Post 2 Knights baseball team went 2-2 Friday and Saturday at the Andover Invitational. Newton won two games Friday, beating the Kansas Curve 6-5 and the Salina Hawks 13-12.
Last week Uncle Carl’s Camp at Kauffman Museum focused on printmaking, introducing the idea to children age 6 to 8. Campers explored a variety of simple printmaking techniques.
At least 19 states now either bar or limit participation in sports by transgender athletes, who are at the center of a polarizing, politicized debate, even though only a fraction of them are believed to be among America’s 8.5 million high school and college athletes.
