WICHITA — Matt Wallner hit two home runs, driving in three, to lift the Wichita Wind Surge to a 5-3 win over the Amarillo Sod Poodles Monday night in Texas League. Amarillo scored first on a Juan Centeno RBI double in the top of the first inning.

If government were derelict in that duty, the power and the rights returned to the people who were empowered to “alter or abolish” the government and establish a new one better able to protect their rights and less able to abuse its powers.

It was an all-Texas affair in the finals of the 74th Newton Mexican-American Men’s Fast-Pitch Softball Tournament Saturday and Sunday. It also was a long tournament because of storms Friday and Saturday that led to a late start and games that ended at 4:30 a.m.
