NO CONCLUSION IN LINK BETWEEN PSORIATIC ARTHRITIS AND LYMPHOMA

Dear Doctors: Is there a treatment for psoriatic arthritis that doesn’t carry the risk of lymphoma or other cancers? I have this kind of arthritis, and it is very painful. However, I don’t want to jump from the frying pan into the fire with a treatment that is going to give me a more dangerous disease.

City seeking members for revamped Law Enforcement Advisory Panel

The City of Newton is taking applications for at large members of the revamped Law Enforcement Advisory Panel, a volunteer advisory board that was reconstituted earlier this year. The volunteer advisory board’s purpose is to advise in policy development, education, community outreach, and communications related to bias-based policing by law enforcement officers and agencies of the City; and to receive, review, and provide feedback to the Chief of Police on complaints related to bias-based law enforcement actions.

Bethel women dominant in spots against Sterling

The Bethel College women’s basketball team was dominant in the first five or six minutes of the first and fourth quarters against 19thranked Sterling College. Unfortunately for the Threshers, games are 40 minutes long, and the Threshers couldn’t sustain the momentum, falling 64-52 in KCAC play.

Thresher men fall to hot-shooting Warriors

While the Bethel College men’s basketball team had its moments, the Threshers couldn’t keep up with Sterling’s hot shooting hand Wednesday in KCAC play at Thresher Gym, falling 75-67. Sterling finished the game 28 of 51 for 54.9 percent, while Bethel was 29 of 70 for 41.4 percent.

Andrea Nell Sharp, 37, beloved daughter, sister and friend, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022, after a long illness. She was born to Gene and Janice Sharp of Valley Center, KS, on April 27, 1985, and attended Valley Center schools, Newton Christian High School (Class of 2003), Butler Community College and Friends University.
