Local school closes due to illness, lack of staff
Schools in Kansas have been closing due to illness so many students and staff are sick that school is being called off. It happened at a Wichita elementary school, Ashland and Osage City in the last week.
Railer girls roll past Campus in return to court
About the only thing the Newton High School girls’ basketball team didn’t do well in a 42-11 win over Campus Tuesday at Ravenscroft Gym was shoot the ball. Newton hit just 16 of 47 from the field and five of 13 from the free throw line.
