Sedgwick defense prevails at Shepherd Invitational

SEDGWICK — Despite 17 of 56 shooting from the field, the Sedgwick Cardinal girls’ basketball team easily got past the Wichita Defenders homeschool team 44-25 Tuesday in the 43rd Steve Shepherd Invitational in Sedgwick. “That’s all we talked about at halftime was we missed too many easy shots,” Sedgwick coach Aaron Stucky said.
