Railer Way change draws fire, explained at BOE meeting

Online bullying and the timing of release of a video showing a Newton High School Wrestler vaping in violation of the school’s Railer Way code of conduct became “extenuating circumstances” in the eyes of several Newton USD 373 board of education members, three of which commented during board member comments Feb. 28 that those issues specifically led them to make an effort to amend the Railer Way policy.
