It makes me chuckle when I think about people who don’t live on a farm trying to create clean and pretty spaces through white wash, distressed paint and vintage hardware. Real farmhouses are rarely as desirable as this style is made out to be.

County Commission hears zoning request

Butler Rural Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BREC) has asked Harvey County Commissioners to consider a request for a zoning change for the property situated at 8399 SE 84th. A-1 Agriculture is the existing zone for the property.

South Halstead Road to close April 4

The Harvey County Road and Bridge Department announced Tuesday that South Halstead Road will be closed to through traffic April 4 between U.S. 50 and Southwest 36th Street.

James “Jim” Lewis Dunn was born in McPherson, Kansas on December 3, 1941 to Jasper and Linda (Ewy) Dunn. The family moved to a farm near Arlington, Kansas.
