Land Institute president to speak on the future of food

Bethel in inviting the public to spend a day thinking about the future of food with Rachel Stroer, the president of The Land Institute in Salina, who will be on campus April 17. Stroer will speak in convocation, meet with a biology class and deliver an evening lecture.

Ottawa coaches mark return home

With injuries reducing the first-year Bethel College women’s flag football team to the point where Monday night’s game against two-time defending NAIA Invitational Champions Ottawa was reduced to a scrimmage, it put a slight damper on the homecoming of Hesston natives Liz and Katie Sowers, the coaches for the Braves. Hesston High and Hesston College grads, Liz and Katie Sowers are also daughters of Floyd Sowers, a longtime former BC women’s basketball coach.
