Hillsboro - Helen Fenstermacher, 99, passed away April 10, 2023 at Salem Home in Hillsboro. Celebration of Life 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2023 at Grace Community Fellowship in Hillsboro. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

There are ways of controlling them if you pay attention to culturing your lawn. County approves awareness month proclamation

April is officially Sexual Assault Awareness Month in Harvey County, after the Harvey County Commission took a second run April 11 at approving a proclamation to make it so. Following a reading of a revised proclamation the commission voted 2-1, with commissioner Becky Reimer the vote against, to approve the proclamation.

Gomez hits for cycle to pace Newton baseball squad

If it’s happened at all, it’s been a long time since it did. Newton junior Colby Gomez hit for the cycle Tuesday, a single, a double, a triple and a home run, driving in four runs, to lift the Railer baseball team to a 10-5 win over Derby in Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail League Division I play at Klein-Scott Field.
