Berean golfers advance to 2A state

SALINA — The Berean Academy golf team is off to state after a second-place finish Monday at the Class 2A regional tournament at the Salina Municipal Golf Course. Host Salina Sacred Heart, the defending Class 2A state champion, won the team title with a 288.

Hesston wins Class 3A regional golf tourney

HESSTON — The defending Class 3A state champion Hesston Swather golf team put itself in position to repeat after winning the regional tournament at the Hesston Golf Course. The Swathers posted a team score of 314.

Indian Hills takes lead at NJCAA Championships

The National Junior College Athletic Association Division I Men’s Golf Championships opened Tuesday at Sand Creek Station with a crowded field after the first round of play. Just 13 strokes separate the top 11 teams out of 24 in competition.
