Commercial wind, solar energy project ban one step closer

Almost exactly one year ago the Harvey County Planning and Zoning board listened to about two hours of public comment about commercial renewable energy projects, with a massive majority of residents speaking that night voicing opposition to a possible wind energy project proposed for Harvey County.

Grants will support museum’s work on new exhibit to open in December

Grants from Humanities Kansas and Evergy have given Kauffman Museum at Bethel College a boost for a new exhibition.Museum staff and a guest curator are creating “A Day with the Birds: Community Science and the Audubon Christmas Bird Count,” set to open in December.The museum recently announced it had received grants of $12,000 from Humanities Kansas and $10,000 from Evergy.
