The Newton USD 373 Board of Education got a first look at the course book listing for a new class at Newton High School, one that founds a new “pathway” within the career and technical education programs at the school.A partnership between Newton USD 373, Hutchinson Community College and Kansas Electric is creating an electrical pathway – elective classes that could allow students to earn a certification for students upon graduation.“The partnership that we have there is just pretty darn cool,” said Sheila Wendling, assistant superintendent of curriculum for Newton USD 373.
