Topeka – Kansas hospitals and health systems were recently recognized for excellence in public relations and marketing efforts by the Kansas Association of Health Care Communicators through its Emerald Awards competition.Emerald Awards are given annually to Kansas hospitals and health systems that excel in communications, special events, advertising, video, and other categories.NMC Health was awarded three of the 19 Emerald Awards given this year.NMC was recognized with a certificate of merit for a projects called “Project Briefs,” “2023 Nursing Symposium” and “Healthy Holiday Advent Calendar” by the center’s Marketing Team.Three marketing professionals from Alaska, Southern California, and the District of Columbia with extensive experience in health care marketing evaluated this year’s entries for planning and research, implementation, cost-effectiveness, and results.The 2024 Emerald Awards were presented at the Kansas Association of Health Care Communicators Spring Conference on April 26 in Topeka, Kan.In addition to the 19 Emerald Awards and 29 Certificates of Merit presented this year, judges selected one entry as Best of Show.
