There’s nothing really new about “active listening”

How many times have you casually mentioned buying, say, new curtains to your spouse, then found yourself bombarded with ads for window treatments the next time you opened a new browser tab on your computer?How many times has that kind of thing left you assuming that your phone, smart speaker, etc.

Letter to the editorIf I had a dollar

If I had a dollar for everytime I listened to someone voice their complaints about what’s happening at a local/state/federal level, I’d have no more financial worries.If I had to give ten dollars back when those same people attempted to show up to a community meeting, read a local paper, watch a city/county/school board meeting, or otherwise made the decision to be involved/informed, I’d likely still have no financial worries.
