You don’t know them, but they’ve touched lives.
They are “Angels Among Us,” as first documented by The Newton Kansan in a special magazine published in 2023. The Kansan will again ask readers to identify Angels Among Us to be featured in an upcoming magazine.
“This is a project I really believe it, and enjoy writing. I can hardly wait to see who the community nominates,” said Kansan Editor Chad Frey.
A nomination form appeared in multiple editions of the Kansan and at thekansan.com. Nomination forms are due back Oct. 19.
“Because I believe in the project, I have not been waiting around on my hands to do this. I’ve asked people one on one for who they would like to see us highlight, and some of those profiles have already been done.” Frey said. “I can hardly wait to share those with our community. However, we have room a lot more. This is not the Chad Frey show, it’s yours.”
Send us the information by email or snail mail; drop the form by our office and use whatever amount of paper necessary to make your nomination.
“The 2023 magazine had a Knight of Columbus, Lions Club Member, day care operator, ministry operator, teacher who founded a clothing closet, Special Olympics coach and all-around good people who worked to make the lives of others more livable. That’s the people we’re looking for again,” Frey said. “I’ve lived in Newton and Harvey County long enough to know there are tons of Angels here. Help me find some I have not met yet.”
